Thank-you,thank-you,thank-you ! To all our customers who visited our 'Santa's Snowcave' in 2015, as a result Trowell Garden Centre has issued Ilkeston Rotary Club a Cheque for £5500.00!

Trowell Garden Centre and the Rotary agree on what Charities we want to support with this money raised.

Along with 'Acor n' Ilkeston, a Charity that Feeds After- School meals to Children , Maggies Nottingham, the Cancer care Centre, the local Restricted Growth Charity,Derbyshire Children's Holiday Home, KidsAidTansinia support via all the hard work of local Derbyshire Doctor and finally Katie Bentley, local beautifull lass,as seen here above receiving a cheque for £500.00,from Chris Smith,Rotary Chairman,to help towards a more efficient 'Wheelchair' that she needs to be more comfortable in helping her support her in her suffering of 'FND', (functional neurone disorder, www.fndhope.org ). Sue Orton's neice,Katie, mother of these 2 gorgeous kids as seen in pic above was diagnosed with this just last year, sadly it has had a devasting effect on Katies life, with her now being wheelchair bound, with movement in her arms becoming less and less. Her very loving husband John, gave up his job to become a full-timer carer for Katie and with the care of their children.

Needless to say, all worthy Charities with all our combined efforts, you our Customers visiting Trowell to see 'Santa' in 2015 along with all the help from volenteers at Rotary Ilkeston, and Trowell Garden Centre itself, we have been able to make a contribution to making a difference towards helping those in need, very close to home! A very Big Thanks and a very proud Achievment to all of us involved!
