Bedding Plants

We stock a large range of bedding plants in pots or packs throughout the seasons. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Begonias, Geraniums, Busy Lizzie, Pansy's, Petunias, Fushsias, Lobelia, Sweet Peas, Antirrhinums plus many more varieties.

Shrubs

We offer an exceptional selection of shrubs year-round at competitive prices. Perfect for creating a lush backdrop in any garden space, from sprawling plots to cozy courtyards, our shrubs are also a magnet for natural pollinators. With an array of sizes, shapes, and colors, we have the perfect shrub for every taste. Choose from enchanting hydrangeas, butterfly-loving buddleias, fragrant choisya, and more.

Roses

We have a brilliant range of bush and climbing rose in stock. Rose plants are a must have for every English garden in Summer. Whether you have them climbing over a wall or pergola, or sitting neatly in a patio pot, they'll exude their colour and scent to your flower border. Rose bushes do well in full sun or a slightly shaded spot and make fabulous cut flowers for indoor displays. Our selection has a rose to suit anyone.

Perennials

We specialise in herbaceous perennial plants and always have a large section to chose from all at competitive prices. Herbaceous perennial plants live for many years, flowering every year. In an array of colours, with hundreds of varieties for sale, including many new and rare varieties.

Alpines

At Trowell we stock a large range of Alpines in 9cm-1L pots all year round. Alpines are small and highly collectable plants, producing exquisite little flowers in a range of vibrant hues. As they come from mountainous regions, many are very hardy. They're easy to grow too, as long as you give them sharply draining compost. They thrive in containers, where a small collection can create a cheery display all year round.

Herbs

At Trowell we stock a large range Herbs all year round at competitive prices. Herbs are essential culinary ingredients, grow your own for a good, regular supply in the kitchen. All our herb plants will transform your ordinary food into something delicious. Allocate some pots and space in your kitchen or garden and get started. We have tried and tested our herb plants and only the tastiest and best-performing varieties get added to our range.

Vegetables

We stock a large range of vegetables plants in packs or pots. Here's just some of the varieties we stock. Fruit

We stock a large range of fruit trees from Apples, Plums, Cherry's, Pears, Peaches, Nectarines, Lemons, Limes, Oranges etc. All at competitive Prices.

The UK's temperate climate makes it ideal for growing a variety of soft fruits. Popular choices include Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Red or White Currants, and Gooseberries.

Ornamental Grasses

We stock a selection of Ornamental Grasses in season. Ornamental grasses are versatile, hardy and spectacular, bringing movement, texture and drama to gardens of all styles, nearly all year round. They can be woven through borders, used as a focal point, scattered through gravel gardens and planted in containers. Easy to grow, low maintenance and available in many beautiful shapes, sizes and styles, they are ideal for beginners.

Heathers

At Trowell we have selection of Heathers in the Spring & Autumn months.

Heathers grow wild in heathlands and open woodlands, and make colourful and compact garden plants too. Most need acidic soil, but otherwise are easy going, drought tolerant and low maintenance. They produce a profusion of tiny flowers across various seasons, which are a valuable nectar source for bees, especially in winter. White-flowered heather

Conifers

At Trowell we stock a large selection of conifers all year round in 2L to 10L pots. Conifers are a staple of many gardens, providing year-round colour and structure whilst being low maintenance and easy to grow. They create a professional architectural look, equally effective in the border or containers - container growing dwarf conifers is a great option in smaller gardens.

Hedging Plants

At Trowell we stock Laurel, Photinia Red Robin and Buxus hedging plants all year round and most other hedging plants in season. The best evergreen hedges for UK gardens include Cherry Laurel, Common Privet, English Yew, Euonymus Green Spire, Photinia Red Robin and Portuguese Laurel.

Climbers

We always have a large section of Clematis in stock in season. Never underestimate the importance of climbing plants! If you are short on space in your garden, or you have unsightly spaces that you're sick of staring at, then climbers can come to your rescue. They offer the perfect solution, and will give your garden an injection of colour where it needs it most. Climbers are perfect for a trellis or a fence, but they can also work up against an old wall or shed, or offer a bit more privacy to your garden.

Ferns

We have a large section of ferns in 1.5L to 10L pots in stock most of the year. Ferns are beautiful foliage plants that will add softness and movement to shadier areas of the garden. They vary in shapes and sizes, so you can choose something that will add stature, such as a tree fern or royal fern, or opt for the lower-growing, but no less graceful shuttlecock or lady fern.

Ornamental Trees

At Trowell we a great section of Ornamental Trees in stock mostly all year round. We import a lot of Acer (Japanese Maples) to give a great section to choose from.

Ornamental Trees are brilliant plants for creating colour, interest and structure, acting as a major focal point in the garden. They don't all grow overly big, and there are lots of ornamental trees suitable for even the most modest plot. Flowering cherries (Prunus) and crab apples (Malus) produce dramatic displays of spring blossom. Hawthorns (Crataegus), mountain ash (Sorbus) and crab apples have wonderfully colourful autumn fruit. Many maples (Acer), mountain ash, hawthorns and cherries give a rainbow of autumnal leaf colours.

Specimen Plants

At Trowell we import a lot of specimen plants from Italy and Spain at the beginner of Spring. Ideal time to view and buy at very competitive prices.

Rhododendrons, Azaleas & Camellias

Rhododendrons are grown for their spectacular flowers, usually borne in spring. At Trowell we have a very large sections of Rhododendrons & Azaleas in Spring mostly grown in UK to support the UK Horticulturist Growers.
